I was 6 years old when I ran the Mile during Track and Field Day at Webster Magnet Elementary School in St. Paul, Minnesota. I agreed to go for it because, “Nobody else wanted to run it.”  I was scared at first, but with each lap that I soared around that Midwestern block I gained more confidence and courage than I had ever felt before.   Better than the blue ribbon that I took home that day, was the belief that I took with me for life: I could achieve anything I put my mind too.  I could set goals in all areas of life and achieve them through commitment, dedication and a lot of hard work!

Running is a process, a journey that first requires understanding where your starting point is.   My first step will be to assess your starting fitness level in regards to your cardiorespiratory fitness, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, neuromuscular control, technique, form, speed, mental fitness, training history, personal goals and overall health.

I will then help you set your individual training and racing goals based on the Principals of FITTE (Frequency, Intensity, Time/Volume, Type/Recovery, and Enjoyment) & provide you with a strong foundation of training in running skills, form & technique.
